This one of a kind watercolor journal was inspired by the rich colors and textures of the papers used on the covers, including the wrinkles and creases reproduced from the photo. Acrylic paint was used sparingly to bring out the textures. Both covers are sealed with acrylic matte medium and UV-Resistant matte varnish then edged with copper tape to add durability.
Forty eight pages of 140-lb Fabriano Uno Smooth Press watercolor paper was hand bound with black waxed linen thread to the one of a kind covers using a durable, functional and decorative combination of stitches. This binding allows the book to lay open flat making it easy to work in. Each signature is nestled into a concertina fold that acts as a spacer in the spine allowing you to add ephemera to the pages without stressing the binding.
This unique book is sure to stand up to your greatest artistic endeavors no matter your medium of choice.
