Media:  Photo Transfer, Colored Pencil, Found Paper
Dimensions:  4 X 4 inches
Date of Work:  11/2005

I was amazed at the amount of leaves and vibrant color still present on November 1 in Fort Collins' City Park. Here, an original photograph was transfered using a solvent-based technique to 140-lb cold press watercolor paper. Due to the roughness of the paper and the solvent-based technique some detail is lost. So, I went back in with colored pencil to pull out some of the branches of the trees. For the finishing touch I went fishing into my tin of words and phrases to add the text, "some flamboyant display had been lit in crimson coloring, smoldering."

All effort has been made to make this scan as true to the original as possible. Please be aware that not all monitors will display the image exactly the same so there may be some variance in color and detail between what you see on your screen and what the original piece looks like in person.
