The tiny baby is playing with his turtle shell rattle as he watches the three guardian seahorses that are swimming around him. This is a mixed media painting done in acrylics, watercolor, and prisma color on acid free, lignon free, acrylic canvas paper. It can easily be framed and matted in a regular picture frame. I chose this picture because it portrays the tender care that mother's give, even as a mermaid. She has even crafted her little one a turtle shell rattle to play with and keep him entertained.
