This painting is from a photo I took in Agra of two men conversing in front of a beautiful copper-bound wooden door. I titled it "The Mentor" because it seemed the older man was giving sage advice to the younger. I normally don't do ultra detailed paintings of this type, but the subject seemed to be best handled in this manner. The painting is a series of glazes of transparent, staining watercolors touched with gouache.
