A photo of a mouse hitching on a frog in a flood in India inspired this--I wanted to paint the effect of an illustration for a fairy tale. I am imagining the friendship of the mouse for the frog--at first the frog is unwilling, then the mouse proves his worth by helping the frog in some way. There is a story here! Frogs and mice are always good subjects for fairy tales.
