A lifelong watercolorist, I generally paint in that medium. However, from time to time, I do colored pencil, pastel and gouache. My subjects are often from places I've visited while working overseas or vacationing. India, by far, is the most astounding country I've ever visited. My first visit, a 48 hour trip to Mumbai for business, yielded about 20 paintings from a single tour we took in the car around the city. It was like landing on a new planet, a most profound artistic and personal experience.
My subjects tend to be scenes with figures, animal and people portraits, but I also enjoy doing still life and florals and landscapes. I like to paint detail, but I also enjoy doing loose, quick studies, for which watercolor is the perfect medium.
I live in the state of Delaware.
