This is part of my "Shadow Man" series and represents the "phantom". It in archetypal in that it is a universal experience. We may sense something, but there is no substantial existence of "it"; or we may sense something that is elusive or visionary. In this painting, the shadow or phantom, stands near a suggestive window with figures within. There is no apparent source of the shadow...is it the viewer or a figure out of the frame? Again, it is an invitation for the viewer to ponder and reflect and question.
