Ginger Reddington( www.gingerreddington.com) is a native of Washington State. She has been an art educator for over 30 years and an artist for more.

She and her husband have recently moved to the Methow Valley. They share their farm with horses, mules, chickens , bird dogs, two cattle dogs and several cats. Its a busy farm.

The Reddingtons enjoy packing and riding their horses in the mountain wilderneses around their home. Bird hunting, backcountry and downhill skiing, mountain biking and fly fishing are also a part of their active schedule. Spending time with their children and grandchildren completes their full life.

Gingers love of the outdoors, animals and old things that have helped form our lives have transformed into many of her works. According to Ginger, her works reflect her passions; "I paint what I know and love."

Her mediums include acrylics used in a watercolor style and detailed with watercolor pencils. Her barns, tractors , still lifes and landscapes attract the eye immediatly.

Another more recent medium Ginger uses is one she has developed in the last several years. She christened it acrylic scratchboard and it is fun to create and sells well too. Using acrylic paint, glues and waxes Ginger paints a piece that dances with color, depth and movement. "I am kind of a bipolar painter," Ginger says, "watercolors are from my eye and scratchboards are from my heart."

Ginger also designs collages and sculpts in clay.
