Celebration, The timing of this show is impeccable. Thanks goes to the staff at Ebsq for continued inspiration and the avenue to show it. Thank you everyone!

Some time ago I read the "Art of War" from the basic text of Sun Tzu. The book is a Chinese military treatise written during the 6th century BC. Composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it has long been praised as the definitive work on military strategies of its time. What fascinates me is what I can apply to my own life today. One must think of approach, protection, and outcome.

I picked this image for several reasons. First, the frame is filled with action and color. Second, the viewer knows these are icons of power. Third, the celebration is the fruit of war, a battle for independence.

Independence Day is the most important secular holiday in the US. It is celebrated on 4 July and marks America's independence from Britain. Britain once had colonies on the American continent. On 16 December, 1773, some colonists dressed as Native Americans boarded British ships and threw tea into Boston harbour; that event became known as The Boston Tea Party. Britain in return passed laws in 1774 the Five Intolerable Acts which wasn't accepted by the colonists. So in 1775, the War of Independence began. At the beginning of the conflict, only few wanted to be independent from Britain. More colonists eventually wanted independence from Britain.

On 2 July, 1776, Congress voted for independence. The declaration was under discussion for two days before, on 4 July, the Declaration of Independence was accepted. Whilst in 1776, colonists were still fighting for their independence on 4 July, today there are celebrations everywhere throughout the country. In parades during the day, and in the evenings you can enjoy breathtaking fireworks. Thanks for viewing this piece. View it on Ebay. Buy now!
