Title: Sheila

Many times my subjects have been the people closest to me at any given time willing or not. Good fortune has blessed me with willing friends and lovers to fill this passion in me, for that I am very grateful. Of course the term people includes all the animals too!

Here is a photograph of Sheila taken with a simple background on film with a Minolta x-700.  We shot this with two lights using one on full power and one set to half hoping to achieve a two to one lighting ratio. The image was captured on 100 speed color film and then scanned so there have been several brightness and contrast adjustments by the scanner and software. Note the grain from the film.

In my humble opinion, a good image starts with a great subject and Sheila sure fills that requirement. Then add some light, the rule of thirds, some S shaped lines and you are in business.

Good luck and keep shooting!

Thanks for Viewing this piece!
