Clocktower's View

A realization just came to me while viewing this image thinking of what to write. Many of my images have a balance with two sublects of interest. One, many times, is man made the other made by nature. The signifigance of this is unclear, however, it has sent me on a marathon of thought.

The show is the Urban Street: Photographs from Town. But what is interesting is how the town needs rural landscape close by to remain balanced. With the building must be landscaping including trees, maybe water. The neighborhood must have parks and streams. Similarly, the open grass just begs for a structure, a picnic table or a swing. One without the other just does not work very well.

Picking this image was easy, it is where I live and Tacoma gets little attention in the shadow of Seattle, but it has beauty just the same. As usual, the image was made at dusk with a tripod on film with a Minolta X-700, Old School!

Thanks for your eye!

Christopher
