The Eyes that have seen atrocities of War

Media:  Watercolor
Dimensions:  ACEO 2.5 x 3.5
Date of Work:  July 2007

Dinky Dau, was a term used by the Vietnamese for "Gone Crazy" In the Vietnam War. I've seen many Wonderfully loving Vietnam vets, that no longer can function on a day to day basis, and have either turned to drugs and alcohol, become crazy, homeless, and or just "lost" due to horrible circumstances they experienced in Vietnam . This is from a photo I felt that depicted this feeling. This painting means alot, as there is much controversy amongst the "homeless" and how one goes about "begging for money" nowadays, and who should be comitted and who shouldn't. It's a crime for all of those who do NOT know about mental illness, or the destruction that one can incur while defending our Country in a devastating war.

Here is my tribute and admiration to all the wonderful service men and women, who have faught a war for me, Thank you.
