Rachel Lovett Phillips began drawing, sketching, and painting as a child. She follows a long generational line of very talented women artists, and is proud to have inherited the artistic gene. Throughout her scholastic career, she excelled in her art courses and won numerous awards for placement in various art shows and competitions, as well as the honor of being chosen to illustrate literary magazine covers and t-shirts.

As an adult, Rachel has become very interested in photography and relishes the search for interesting photograph composition. She then uses these photographs as subjects for her paintings.

Rachel's love of animals and children can be seen in her work. Her themes and color schemes often reflect the joys of childhood and have been chosen to decorate children's rooms and nurseries. As can be noted, animals are often the subject of her work.
