For me, art is truth. Art is everything. Art is everywhere. Art can change the world, and a person's place in it. One of my favorite artists creates massive works of art on buildings to bring awareness to our oceans and whales. Another creates pure fantasy. Art allows you, and sometimes-makes you, feel an array of emotions.

I have learned that I enjoy life, because I enjoy art. For me, it is like putting on a pair of glasses and realizing that you can now see the shapes on the leaves of a tree, instead of just a tree. You now see each shade of orange and red, and purple in a sunset, instead of just seeing a sunset. Your eyes become more in tune to the world around you. Or your ears hear each note and word in a song, instead of just the bass. Or at least, mine did. My world opened up-when I truly let art in.

Because, I am partially color-blind, color plays an important role in my art. I do not typically create flat pieces; I prefer brush strokes, scratches, color, found objects, and substance material. My vision is to open a studio/resort where artists can learn together. I will make huge moving garden art like you see in the movie "Twister" someday. I am internationally collected and have recently been accepted as a jewelry artist and painter for ART-O-MAT, a national program. I love using recycled materials in my art and believe every person has an artist inside, even if that artist is buried deep and holding crayons. Feel free to contact me.
