These stainless steel/copper/brass figures are inspired by a thought I had: “When you see a figure walking towards you from a distance and there is a bright light behind them, what you are left with is a featureless darkened silhouette. In our minds even though we cannot see the things that usually help us make decisions on personalities i.e. the eyes, mouth etc, we have already pigeon-holed them into various personality traits and social distinctions.” These sculptures ask the question; if I take away all the features of a figure, can I still give the figure a personality by only using texture and line? Thisone is titled 'Self Percieved Elegance' Its 6th in a series of slightly smaller one off figures. ALL my work comes with a Certificate of Authenticity
