I made this Salivador Dali Book at Artfest 2004. I learned Coptic stitching and some cool painting and beading ideas. It is a 3 sectioned tall book with tons of metal found objects that dangle from the sides. It has some hand painted insert pages that divide sections in the book. The images are mostly by Dali or Dali like collages.

how: Coptic binding, sewn items added to open edge on painted cardboard. Pages hand torn and cut to fit 3 sections, back of book is the full length to hold the sections together.

motivation: The idea is that Dali created surreal figures that had multi-parted bodies and compartments, so to create a book that somehow gave the feeling of a dali piece of art in his honor.
