Broken china mosaics. Mosaic art with broken china and glass. Vintage china mosaic artist.
I have been working with stained glass for over 10 years,
and more recently working with mosaic art using broken china and stained glass. I love antiques and vintage architectural items, and the patina of old china. It is very satisfying to be able to combine them into functional art. Some of the items I recently finished include a shabby chic
door crown full of pink stained glass and pink pearls, a pair of
mosaic tables full of vintage china, pearls , pink glass and
beaded diamond fringe, and a few kitchen chairs. I love bird and roses themes, and I have a couple of mosaic china birdhouses with teacups, rose china, and other trim. I am currently working on another shabby little birdhouse to mount on a mosaic china welcome sign.
An antique corner chair that I painted soft pink enamels, then covered in vintage rose china, faux pearls, and vintage pink moonglow gems.

I have a studio full of floral chinas, I am always on the lookout
for moss rose china and other pink vintage rose chinas which
are my favorites.
I also have a selection of teacups, vintage jewelry findings,
porcelain figurines, and interesting vintage furniture waiting
to be used. I have several small tables in various stages of the mosaic work. And, I have a collection including a mannequin,
unusual pots, interesting vintage chairs, and a truly shabby table
I built in wood shop class. I am currently painting the furniture in cottage whites, soft pastel pink, and jadite green, which works nicely in the romantic shabby chic decorating style.
Here is a stained glass panel I made for a linen closet. The closet was converted into a china hutch. I made the panel to match a 1910 stained glass set that is in the adjoining room.
