I painted this from the art studio window in a restored post office in the south of France. I love all things old and the railings and shutters really appealed to me as well as the red roofed houses outside. I think I captured the feeling of the heat in the sunlight outside and the interior walls really capture the age of the building. I was happiest with this painting of all the paintings I did that week I spent in France.
