Born and raised in Ireland I moved to Los Angeles at the age of thirty. I have painted in watercolour for over twenty years and I have worked in animation for Feature Films and commercials for over 15 years.

We are each an expression of the infinite, one thing excites you and not another and that is no accident. My paintings are inspired by beauty, which to my eyes can be in the most familiar objects and places, and by my emotional response to what I see in the world. I seek peace in my life and my energies are directed toward what uplifts and enpowers me and all others. I think this is reflected in my work. In my paintings I attempt to capture moments of calm, quiet atmospheres, and times in which I have had an awareness of something beyond myself, something timeless and eternal, as expressed in brief moments of felt joy, peace or awe. In todays society our lives are so rushed and busy, it can be overwhelming.

To quote Angeles Arrien, "We are drawn to beauty and timeless comfort to be found in music, art and poetry. These creative and symbolic forms of expression braid memory and imagination together to provide opportunities for reflection and to help us see what is truly meaningful in our lives." I hope that my paintings give you this opportunity.
