I've always viewed art as a form of communication and it seems there are many things within us that speak most eloquently through artistic expression. The act of creation strikes me as the most honest way in which we humans can offer a glimpse of ourselves to the world at large. The process also serves as a way for one to understand ones own psyche, and to give voice to things within oneself that are not easily understood.
I'm currently working on a series of mixed media paintings, in-depth jewelry creations, and metal sculptures - as usual I'm just doing whatever comes to mind using whatever materials inspire ideas!
I was born in Minnesota where I've spent the majority of my life, and I've been active in many areas of artistic creation; including sculpture, jewelry design/construction, ink drawing, digital art, and painting. I continue to delve into these areas regularly and I'm always looking for new artistic avenues to explore. My work has been featured in several magazines and I also have a piece in "500 Earrings" by Lark Books.
