An imaginary contraption stands perfectly balanced in a surreal setting. This image is from a continuing body of work which I have dubbed “Surrealities.” Drawn forth from my imagination and executed with basic drawing materials—bristol board, colored pencil and ebony pencil—I worked to achieve subtle marks, a luminous colored backdrop and a calming atmosphere.
