A little about Aislinn Brander

I was born in Nevada, October 27th, 1979 and raised in California and Nevada, I currently reside in a small town North of Reno that is home to more cows than people!

I am almost completely self taught... ( I took a lesson once...) My art is proudly collected all over the world and offers something for everyone.

Art has always been a huge part of my life, even though I have had no formal education in art. I have been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil and horses were of course, usually always the main subject. I used to imagine as a child, if I could draw the horse as real as I could, maybe in some magic way, it would become real. Well, that hasn't much changed for me, except that now I know it isn't really going to jump off the canvas, I just want it to look like it can and just might...

I enjoy working on realistic paintings and abstract paintings and I especially have become fond of painting 'Alla Prima' meaning 'Wet on Wet paint'...

The idea that my art is being displayed in homes in countries I have never been, is almost as good as visiting the foreign location myself! I welcome ideas, comments and yes, criticism, it is the way in which we grow.
