I created this piece for EBSQ's water lily show.... after doing some research on water lilies, I discovered that they symbolize a pure heart, so I wanted somehow to portray this... This is the first of a series that I am working on using mandalas as foundations for my work.

This piece was pyrographed on solid pine, and then painted with acrylic paints, mostly in a diluted form that provides a water-color like appearance, allowing the grain of the wood to become a part of the story. I finished it off with a sturdy coat of protective varnish and wire for hanging. This piece is for sale on my website.
