This is my entry in the April 2006 Nibblefest Art Contest on ebay. This month's theme is "Black and White," and I call this funky piece "Healing the Dichotomy." I chose to not only use primarily black and white paint, but also to explore the concepts of black and white... reflecting racial unity as well as the unity between the inner pieces (lightness and darkness) of our spirits. This piece is pyrographed (woodburned) and painted with acrylic paint on solid pine, finished with a coat of varnish to protect it and wired for hanging.
