My name is Lisa Rough, and I am a self-taught artist living in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina with my partner, two kids, and two dogs. I have been an artist virtually my whole life, my family roots woven strongly within music, theater, and visual arts. I have a masters degree in counseling and psychology with specializations in wholistic studies and expressive arts therapies, and I am a stay at home mom, all of which I feel magically and mysteriously contribute to my unique style and appreciation for the arts. I like to mingle with various mediums, but currently my medium of choice is pyrography (woodburning) and painting. Reflected within my work is a strong passion directed towards bringing art and spirituality together in whimsical, colorful, and often healing ways. I also offer creative living workshops and private consultations as well as "wholistic art" classes for young children. Other things I love to do include swimming with dolphins, playing the guitar, and making homemade bread!
