The inspiration for this piece was the Grand Canyon. In it you can see representations of the rim, the plateau and the inner canyon. The principle technique used in the making of this pin is repousse', an old and unusual way to manipulate and massage a flat sheet of metal into a three dimensional relief full of detail.
