Donna Gill Colestock's original Echiveria

Media:  Mixed
Dimensions:  4 3/8" dia x 3/4" h
Date of Work:  July, 2006

This is my entry in Ripped Off! 2006, a rip off of Donna Gill Colestock's Echiveia. The work is done in copper in a technique called repousse`. Repousse` is the manipulation of a flat sheet of metal into a three dimensional form using a series of punches and a pitch bowl. The outer piece is another piece of copper that has been pierced and textured. They are contained in a terra cotta saucer. The copper has been colored by a fuming with amonia in a closed container. Thank you, Donna!
