This is my entry in the October Nibblefest Art Contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. Please be sure to search for NFAC to see more great entries, each starting at just 99¢.

This month's theme is Native/Tribal. My entry is an Art Card done in a technique called chasing. This technique uses a chisel to inscribe a line and texture in metal, in this case, copper. I have used three Native American symbols that roughly translate as friendship (crossed arrows), abundance (big mountain), and good prospects (rainclouds). Together they form a message of a good future prospects in friendship or from friendships. This would make a wonderful gift with a hopeful message or a great addition to your art collection. Chasing is a rare technique to find in a format like Art Card.

The metal has had the application of a patina to darken the lines and increase the contrast. My hallmark appears in the lower right corner.
