The inspiration for this painting is a photograph of my Siberian Husky Blue, walking in the cypress forest. I love how the jagged limb points at Blue, just overhead.
This nature preserve in Orlando, Florida has survived the hurricanes of 2004 in Florida. However, the pines, cypresses, and oaks did not survive unscathed. There were broken trees, uprooted trees, and branches everywhere.
There's a lot of texture and knife strokes in this piece. The colors absolutely glow!!
