Hi, I'm Vickie Miller and I'm the creator of Hippkittybeads. Handmade, glass, lampwork beads and jewelry. Lampworking is a method of using a gas fueled torch to melt rods of colored and clear glass into beads and other shapes.
"You actually MAKE the beads?", people ask. Yep...one at a time...tiny little glass treasures that I use in my own unique jewelry designs.
I am entirely self-taught. I learned glass beadmaking using the web, books, and videos. My designs are often colorful, whimsical, and even a bit eccentric. My purpose is to bring a smile and perhaps brighten your day. Color absolutely makes my world go round and I find inspiration all around me, from the Sunday funnies, to my grandmother's muu muu.
I live on a beautiful island in Washington state with my favorite husband and neurotic, four-legged children.
