Instead of giving her a name, I decided to call this fun little piece "Happy Girl" because she looks happy and I feel happy when I look at her. With her arms spread wide, she looks so hopeful. She is ready to embrace the world.

This painting is done on a thick wood block. There are many elements at play here. The soft blue background has scribbles and distress marks on it as well as subtle white circles. The text above her head reads "She felt a great hope, a great love." So fitting, don't you think? Next to the text I have a attached a little snap for interest.

All and all, this is a whimsical, fun painting that would be perfect for a child or an adult.
