This is my Quilled Sunflower, an original artwork created by
placing my rolls of paper beneath my cut out, simulating the veins in the leaves and the flowers. It is framed under glass in an 8"x10" honey oak frame, finished
piece is 10"x12". This is one of my 'New Hampshire Wildflowers'
collection, any of which can be combined for a dramatic focal piece on a
wall.
The Sunflower is my favorite. I had plastic sunflowers displayed on the walls and tables when we got married. Remember, in the seventies, plastic was ok, and besides it was June, so the sunflowers in New Hampshire were not out yet, they barely had their heads above the surface of the ground. Anyways, sunflowers and daisies, my favorites.
