Personal: I am a mother of three small children and I have a very wonderful husband named Matthew. We live in the mountains of western North Carolina, Murphy, to be exact. I am a full-time mother of 3 quickly growing children, a part-time educator at a local community college, and am striving to be a full-time artist.  I also am in the process of writing and illustrating books I have written.

I have been drawing and painting since I was a little girl and love to dabble in all types of media, with acrylics being my first choice. I adapt to any kind of media and find myself currently exploring markers and colored pencils.  I focus my attention on fantasy art, mainly fairies, but also love to paint mermaids, unicorns, other magical creatures. I also like painting or creating "cartoonish" or whimsical art as I deem it, but also do paint and create realistic-looking creatures. I also will be showing free art demonstrations on youtube so anyone interested can take a look on how I do my arting!, rpbarton1 is my subscriber name. It's always different, so it's sure to be interesting if nothing else!

Hobbies:  A few of my favorite things to do are: read, play video games, and watch movies.  I am STILL an avid Harry Potter fan and think that J.K. Rowling is the brightest author of our age.  I also enjoy listening to audiobooks while I'm painting, especially the Harry Potter series as well as the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull.
