Art: Rooster Hand Sculpted OOAK Cameo ACEO by Artist Paulie Rollins
This ACEO is a one-of-a-kind hand sculpted cameo on 300# watercolor paper that has been painted and glazed many times to give the look of shiny, transparent-looking stained glass. Several types of clay are used for the sculpting, and once the work is done, it's glazed a number of times for a satiny shine and protection to last a lifetime and beyond. The thickness of the sculpting averages about 1/16th of an inch, sometimes going to 1/8", and that thinness allows the clay to become nearly transparent in places, white in others, giving us the sculpted shadows, and the natural shadows that come from the light. Watch how the cameo’s shadows change with the light to create an all new look with every move. This sculpted cameo is thin enough so the card fits perfectly in the normal Trading Card sleeve that it comes with, but I think you'll agree that the sculpting looks much prettier without, and the sleeve isn't necessary for these little toughies anyway. This type of ACEO can proudly be displayed sitting in a tiny easel, or it's beautiful mounted in a frame without the clear glass or matting - it can sit in strong light forever, with never a fear of colors ever fading. This cameo ACEO has my initials on the front, full signature and date on the back, and is ready to become the next cherished collectible. Happy Browsing!
