"Frog & Butterfly"
This little scene was created by placing objects in an imaginary environment. The ceramic frog sits on the edge of a pond as the butterfly flits by. The illustration board was coated with tinted gesso with fine pumice mixed in to grab the pastel. The gesso mixture was worked with a coarse brush to create lots of visible texture...
