Art: Skyscape study by Artist Natasha Wescoat
This piece was done upon sunset in the fall 2005 in my backyard of Standish, Michigan. The sky was just coming turning that beautiful reddened glow. I painted this piece with acrylics on flat canvas that I set on an easel. It was one of my favorite scenes to capture. It was a challenge for me, because I needed to take time to express the details and the negative space. Normally, I paint more opaque, geometric works. This is one of my few realist paintings.
