A Canadian Village, year 1900
Giclee Print
size: 8.5" x 11"
paper: Epson Pearl Lustre
A little village in the heart of ??? I wanted to capture the sense of a village, one that is a little world unto itself. There are various houses, trees, a barn and silo, a church and a little graveyard right in town. The horse pulls a sleigh that is out on a marketing adventure of selling spices and herbs and other culinary necessities. There is snow on the ground and the sky is full of wonder. A little dog peeks out from a tree.
This print is from one of my pen and ink drawings. For the most part, I use a crow quill or a speedball pen nib and trust I don't make any drips. I'm constantly watching to check on any beads of ink that might build up. The inspiration from the villages goes very deep into my childhood memories. I am fascinated by villages, fence construction of all kinds, church steeples and belltowers, just to name a few things that swirl in my imagination.
This print is available in my Etsy Shop.
