Frida Kahlo was confined to her bed with a body cast after a terrible accident. She started to paint on the cast. This is my interpretation of her floating in the clouds with the painted cast. Her outstretched arms and straight body lines form a cross. She also is holding a cross in each hand. An angel flies above her holding a banner with her birth and death dates on it.
Acrylic paint on wrapped canvas. Edges of canvas have been painted black so a frame is not needed.
Original one of a kind painting. Not a print or copy. Signed and dated on front, signed, dated and titled on back.
