I have been working on images of older women for a number of years now, creating art dolls and textile art. This is a wall hanging full of textures. I drew and painted the face and then machine stitched over the lines after adding batting and a backing. I added squares of different fabrics around this image. I used the same technique on the legs and then covered the surface with rubber stamped images. I embellished the piece with beads, feathers and wire.
