As a child, Monique enjoyed experimenting and creating art with pencil, ink, charcoal, and acrylic. At this time, Monique also found a deep love for animals, especially horses. The love of horses and the love for expressing and creating beauty in life has been carried throughout her life until they finally merged in 2003 when Monique became the breeder of uniquely colored sport horses at her own farm, Safyre Sporthorses. This creation of living, breathing art forms (horses) are reflected in all of Monique’s inanimate art.
The studio in which Monique creates this beauty is known as Safyre Studios. The name exemplifies what Monique finds to be the deepest inspiration, her internal sacred fire. The passion for art has taken Monique far in her career and will take her further as she continues to challenge herself in exploring more genres.
