the egg as a symbol
of new life and carnival and fat tuesday usher in the
season of lent which brings us to the new life that
is promised by easter.
ok--i had this egg and all these metallic paints
and i thought they would look neat against
a black background draped as if they were beads. the classic shape of the egg
allows for the glitz of mardi gras to
remain all year round even in a formal
environment. :-)
