Art: Whitby Bits (2) by Artist Maeve Wright

Whitby is a seaside town in North Yorkshire. It has associations with Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula. In the novel, Dracula comes ashore at Whitby and the famous ruined abbey at the top of the '199 steps' is used as the backdrop for some of the action. ('Bits' are actually the scraps of batter you get with a bag of chips)

This work was created using watercolour pencils, coloured pencils, gel pen, felt pen, metallic pen on watercolour paper.

This work has been sold. If you would like to commission a similar piece, please get in touch.

It is not mounted or framed.
