I was always drawing and painting as a teen, but never had a formal training. I have since studied at the Munson-Williams-Proctor School of Art and taken classes at the
All of my works are images that I love and I am able to hopefully enhance them through my paintings. They represent a journey through light and shadow, through perfection and deficiency, through truth and magic. I hope to leave behind a piece of me in each one by adding my perception to the image.
My style is predominantly representational and my subject matter varies greatly. I love to explore different subjects and mediums. My top 3 are acrylic, watercolor and colored pencil. I also tend towards smaller works. I find them more intimate and affordable for everyone.
In addition to showing in many juried, group and solo shows, I have also had my work published in several books including 'Art on a Plate The ACEO cookbook' and 'Create, Collect, Trade, a Collection of Artist Trading Cards Created by Artists and Students'. The latter is used as a school teaching tool for the young artists of tomorrow.
