My name is Lisa Nelson and I'm a self-taught artist.  I was born in Philadelphia and currently live in Bucks County with my husband and 7 crazy cats.  My favorite mediums are acrylics, oils, watercolors and colored pencils.  Back in high school, I planned to be an illustrator but took a different turn in the road.  Although I've been selling my art online since 2002 and art is my first love, this is my Second Act.  I majored in business and have an MBA from Temple University.  I left my full-time corporate career behind several years ago and haven't looked back.  Now I have the luxury of painting every day (or not if I'm inclined to do some research or dreaming).  I am inspired by so many artists and love so many styles, sometimes I'm still that proverbial kid in a candy shop.  In other words, who knows what will be on my easel tomorrow.  I am currently making prints and greeting cards available here:  http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-lisa-nelson.html
