In my quest to deconstruct the horse, I experimented with different styles and techniques. The skeletal form of the horse is fascinating. How the bones are placed, how they fit together. They show the fragile beauty of the animal, as well as its power.
'This Year's Colt Crop' is the result of my deconstruction journey. It is both eerie and hauntingly beautiful at the same time. The image pulls the viewer in, refusing to release the viewer's gaze. The realistically painted horses have now become visually abstract and surreal.
