Unfortunately, thistles are one of a farmer's summertime bains, but a photographer's dream. I shot several pictures of this bumble bee (before he flew off and I chopped the thistle down) as he collected his morning 'brunch'. The photo was shot with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, f/9, Exposure 1/500 sec, ISO-320, 300mm.
