I did a painting like this in 1994 and hung it in the Music Dept. at the University of Science and Art of Oklahoma. I recently decided to reproduce the image as you see it here. Just a part of a clarinet, it is objective as well as abstract at the same time. If not for the title, most people see lines and round shapes in blue, white and oranges. With the title, it's quickly identified as the musical instrument that it is.
