I was born in Northern California and raised in beautiful Sausalito, CA back in the 50s and 60s when it was a haven for talented artists and writers. I graduated from UC Berkeley in the late 60s, spent 8 years living on a mining claim in the wilds of Northern California, then 24 years in beautiful Southern Oregon near Ashland. I raised two sons and have a passle of delightful grandchildren. For the past 5 years I've lived in the forest in Paradise, CA with my more-than-tolerant husband, Gary, Buddy, my faithful Golden Retriever, and Clyde, my 16 year old Manx cat.  



I have an acre garden to die for and a babbling brook right outside my studio to inspire me. I am truly blessed.

I have tried my hand at many art forms including crazy quilting, beading, stained glass and ceramics but for the past six years my artistic focus has been on mosaics, both as a creator of mosaic tile and as a mosaic artist. I'm still in the process of developing a style that is "all my own", experimenting with different tesserae, applications and substrates. What I do know is I am happiest when creating something of beauty.

Recently I hadtwo mosaic pieces on exhibit at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland, CA. The juried exhibit was entitled Diversity in Mosaics and was open to all CA mosaic artists. Forty mosaic artists were chosen to exhibit their work. My work is also on exhibit and for sale at Attic Treasures in Paradise, CA.
