Kathryn has over 25 years experience as an impressionist pastel artist and running a studio/gallery. She has successfully run her business in Connecticut, The Netherlands, Pennsylvania, Oregon and Dallas, Texas and once again in Portland, Oregon. She has won numerous top awards for her pastel paintings, which include 1st Places and Best In Shows in CT, PA, and OR. She has had exhibitions and one person shows worldwide. Kathryn has studied pastel painting with Daniel Green, Herman Margulies, PSA, and pastelist, Elizabeth Mowry, PSA. She studied Tromp L'oeil with William Cochran (www.williamcohran.com), and mural techniques with Jennifer Carrasco (ww.carrascomurals.com). Kathryn's genre has increased and expanded over the past 22 years, to include as many diverse aspects of life as she can keep up with. She challenges her horizons and her viewpoint of the world around her. Her passion for art helps her to depict her interpretations of that world in the most energetic and colorful manner she is capable. Kathryn is also a member in various organizations Northwest Society of Interior Designers, Board Member, Web Admin SALI both national and regional Pastel Society of the West Coast
