As a self-taught artist, I am continually experimenting. I have no set method of approaching a painting, regardless of which medium I am using, but employ several different techniques depending on my vision of the desired outcome. I tend to paint tight realism because, for me, the fun is in the details. With my art I am constantly striving to convey a particular mood, feeling, or expression. I am dedicated to my craft and passionate about my art. I experience great joy and satisfaction from my work, and I like to think that feeling comes through in my paintings.

Here are some comments from my collectors:
"Your painting very much reminded me of an amazing beach sunset I enjoyed while taking a winter drive down the Oregon Coast a couple of years ago. Now I will be reminded of it daily. Thanks!" Charles
Hi Kari, I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with my Mini Cat Painting, it's absolutely lovely! Absolutely! Lovely!! I just soaked it in, all the pencil lines and colors and the feeling that the cat is showing. And your presentation is gorgeous, I will treasure this always. Thank you for giving the world a chance to own your cat art! G'night, Susie
I received the box yesterday. All I can say is "WOW"!! Totally awesome!! I definitely want more!! Also, thanks for the fantastic way that you wrapped it. Got to me safe and sound. I'm totally thrilled with your art! I'm going to have it framed professionally. Honestly, I'm hooked. Joanne.
Dear Kari, Thank you for your kind note and prompt shipping. I began in my undergraduate years studying late medieval art, but have since expanded my interests further back to the prehistoric. Your triptych provides a nice way to incorporate this interest into my home. Sincerely, Gregory.
Thank you very much, Kari. Your work is the first abstract art I have ever purchased, and the colors and textures really caught my eye. Thanks, Mary
Painting arrived very quickly and is beautiful. Ingrid & Steve
